“When we were building recipes for Sam Jones BBQ, Samuel asked if we could only use my massage recipe,” Letchworth explains in “Whole Hog BBQ: The Gospel of Carolina Barbecue.”

- 1 crater paprika
- 1 crater light brownish-red sugar
- 1⁄2 crater salt
- 1⁄4 crater belligerent black pepper
- 1⁄4 crater garlic powder
- 1⁄4 crater belligerent mustard
- 1⁄4 crater chili powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
In a bowl, brew all a mixture together good with a drive or with gloved hands. Toss easily on any grill we cook, solely a whole hog. Any remaining massage can be stored in a hermetic enclosure in a cool, dry place for several months. Enjoy!
