A mother-of-one has finally managed to embankment her Bridget Jones-style knickers – after shedding 4 stone.

Sophie Jude, 23, from Nottingham, forsaken 4 dress sizes, going from a distance 16 to a distance 8, by ditching comfort food for healthy meals.

Sophie described how she was left ‘mortified’ after her partner Carl saw her oversized pants when she spilt booze over herself on their second date and was forced to get changed.

The skincare specialist, who has left from 12st 11lbs to 8st 11lbs in just over a year, has now been named Slimming World’s Miss Slinky 2018 after her transformation.

Describing her ’embarrassing’ date with Carl, Sophie said: ‘I finished up spilling a potion of booze on myself and had to change into some of Carl’s garments while we dusty cave on the radiator – including my big control knickers.

‘We giggle about it now but we was ashamed to have to put my big Bridget Jones pants on display!’ 

Sophie, who lives with Carl and one-year-old daughter Vogue, certified she has struggled with her weight from a immature age.

‘At school we was always the curvy girl who tried to cover my insecurities by being bubbly and loud,’ she said.

Sophie’s diet before 

Breakfast: Cup of tea with 2 sugars, big play of cereal and a couple of chocolate biscuits

‘At the age of 14 we won a grant to a behaving humanities school in London and that’s when my weight really started to impact me. 

‘There was a lot of vigour to demeanour a certain way and if we felt down or missed home we would comfort myself with food.’ 

Sophie removed a teacher holding her outward of the classroom to tell her that she ‘needed to remove weight’ if she was going to make it in the behaving humanities world.

The final straw for Sophie came in the form of a picture taken before a night out with friends shortly after the birth of her daughter, which ‘made her heart sink’ – quite as she feared that it competence be shared on social media.

She says: ‘I’ll never forget that photo. we remember looking at it for the first time and it pennyless my heart. 

‘I couldn’t trust what we was seeing and we felt so exposed that people had this awful picture of me on their phone. we was so worried in case one of them motionless to share it on social media and in that moment we knew I’d had adequate – we didn’t ever wish to feel that way again.’

Sophie joined  a Slimming World organisation in Sep 2016 with her silent and shortly found that – distinct the limiting diets she’d tried in the past – losing weight didn’t have to meant going hungry.

She found that she could fill up on things like pasta, fish, gaunt beef and vegetables, while still shedding the pounds.

She says: ‘At first we was repelled at how much we could eat while still losing weight! In the past I’ve tried every breakthrough diet out there – from dish deputy shakes to calorie counting.

‘None of them worked yet given they just weren’t tolerable and I’d give up after a couple of weeks.

‘With Slimming World we can still eat curries, pasta dishes, chocolate, wine… and even chips! It’s totally done me rethink my attribute with food and we feel so much better for it. 

‘I go to bed any night full and confident and we adore the suspicion that I’m training to prepare healthy dishes for my family, too.’

Sophie explained how she was ‘nervous’ about joining the organisation at first, but shortly ‘got into the pitch of things’. 

‘The organisation was so accessible and nonetheless we was dissapoint with the series we saw on the beam that first night, we knew we was in the right place to make a change.

As good as changing her diet, Sophie, who suffers from asthma, has also turn some-more active and frequently goes to the gym, as good as busily using around after her little girl.

She added: ‘My certainty is sky high too – so much so that I’m going to join a internal dance class. It’s been years given we achieved in front of an assembly and instead of dreading being on stage, I’m really looking brazen to it!
