APPLE’S new HomePod smart orator is receiving soap-box reviews opposite the web – but there’s one underline that’s branch many people off.
Siri, the virtual partner that powers the HomePod, is being slammed by HomePod users who contend Siri “sucks”.
The Apple HomePod went on sale on Feb 9, and is Apple’s first rival to the hugely renouned Amazon Echo.
The HomePod responds to voice commands, and uses Siri – the same program that’s on your iPhone – to answer your questions, control your smart home, or help you with daily tasks.
But nonetheless the HomePod is being praised for its top-notch sound, it’s being widely criticised over the bad opening of Siri.
I’m kind of bummed about HomePod not being a good foe for other smart speakers :(. It sounds good 🔊 but Siri is just bad. My 4 year old is unhappy Siri can’t answer any of his trivia questions. we meant he got 0 answers.

HomePod reviews are remarkably unchanging on the major themes:
– Sound peculiarity is great
– Mics and “Hey Siri” work great
– Siri is very limited
– Too few third-party integrations
– Lack of Spotify really hurts

The following is the only HomePod examination you need. It sounds really incredible. Siri still sucks. Based on what you wish to prioritize, possibly buy one or don’t. Have a good night.

Quickest HomePod examination ever: it sounds great, but Siri sucks and it’s not worth $350

The Apple Homepod is the biggest rubbish of income I’ve ever encountered. It’s Siri (which sucks anyway), on a speaker. Oh and you can’t use Spotify. Oh and anyone can use it to hear your texts. Oh, and did we discuss it uses Siri?

Again, before you sheep come after me, the homepod is no slump and wouldn’t be bad if we wasn’t looking for better ai. Siri just isn’t Google partner peculiarity and the homepod is a bit much for a singular orator that we can’t play in unanimity with other homepods..

Earlier this week, we reported on a new study by Loup Ventures that found Apple’s Siri was nowhere nearby as smart as rivals Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
In a test, Apple’s HomePod got 47% of questions it was asked wrong, highlighting some pivotal issues with Siri as a digital assistant.
By comparison, Amazon’s Alexa got 64% correct, while the Google Assistant stormed forward with an 81% score.
The orator has also been bloody for its miss of Spotify support, and the fact that you can’t span two HomePods together in a stereo configuration.
Not everybody agrees, mind – a name few users have shielded Apple’s HomePod.
I agree! The sound peculiarity is great! we also don’t consider Siri is that bad on the HomePod. She can do many things we need her to, and she’s very responsive. We were actually murmur to her from opposite the room, and she would respond fast and correctly! Amazing!

Plugged in an Apple HomePod. Wowzer! Sounds amazingly great. And Siri is surprisingly understanding. Full of potential.

The Apple HomePod also costs significantly some-more than its biggest rivals, pricing in at £319.
For contrast, the Google Home costs just £129, and Amazon’s 2nd-generation Echo is even cheaper at £89.99.
That said, many users seem to trust that the HomePod is worth the cost for the sound alone, contrast the audio peculiarity to a reward Sonos speaker.
But the jury is still out on either Apple will be means to change adequate HomePods – given its singular AI functionality and high cost – to contest with Amazon and Google.
