PARIS (AP) — A revolver believed used by Dutch painter Vincent outpost Gogh to kill himself has sole for about $146,000 during an auction in Paris.
An particular customer whose name was not expelled bought a 7mm slot revolver for 130,000 euros and taxes on Wednesday.
The arms was detected in a 1960s in fields in a northern French encampment of Auvers-sur-Oise. Van Gogh is widely believed to have shot himself in a chest there in 1890.
