Newspaper executive falls to his death from Chicago hotel rooftop

A news executive was gnawing a photo from the rooftop of a Chicago hotel when he plummeted some-more than 100 feet to his death on Monday, his family said.

Eric Janssen, 44, was with his friends at the rooftop bar and griddle of the LondonHouse hotel when he incidentally fell and landed on a sixth-floor roof around 3:30 p.m. Monday, the Chicago Tribune reported. 

He sustained mixed injuries and a medical investigator ruled his death an accident.

“They were leaving and he pronounced he wanted to get one last picture,” according to his ex-wife Constance Janssen, who combined he had climbed over the rail to get the shot.

Janssen, who worked as the clamp boss for assembly at the Sandusky Newspaper Group, was a photo fan who mostly shared aerial shots or photos from inside deserted buildings on his Instagram account.

He was visiting the Windy City for the weekend-long design eventuality Open House Chicago, and his sister Cynthia Vukmer pronounced Janssen died doing what he loved. 

In one photo from Oct 7, Janssen posted an design of himself holding photographs from a helicopter flight, extolling the virtues of conquering his fears in the caption.

But his crony Karen Golightly pronounced Janssen was unwavering of reserve after one of his friends fell in Memphis last year.

Janssen, who leaves behind his 3 children, was remembered as a ardent man whose sign was “live a good story.”
