An autopsy has suggested the means of death of a Canadian billionaire couple whose bodies were found in their Toronto mansion.

Pharmaceutical billionaire Barry Sherman, 75, founder of Apotex Inc, and his 70-year-old wife, Honey, were found passed in their north Toronto palace on Friday from ‘ligature neck compression’, a growth suggesting they may have been strangled. Toronto’s carnage section has taken over the investigation.

Multiple outlets reported that police primarily were questioning the deaths as a probable murder-suicide, citing unclear police sources, due to the deaths being described as ‘suspicious’.

The bodies were found unresolved from a vituperation on the corner of a groundwork swimming pool, The Globe and Mail reported, among other outlets, all citing police sources.

Investigators had also toyed with the speculation that Sherman killed his wife at some place in the mansion, hanged her physique and then hanged himself at the pool’s edge. 

The Shermans recently put up their residence for sale for $5.4 million.

In the Sherman’s family’s statement, they urged the media to equivocate speculating on the means of the deaths.

‘Our relatives shared an unrestrained for life and joining to their family and village totally unsuitable with the rumors regrettably circulated in the media as to the resources surrounding their deaths,’ they pronounced in a matter Saturday whose essence were reported by The Globe and Mail.
