THE US Navy wants to build a swift of 10 drudge warships over a subsequent 5 years.

“With a vast cargo capacity, a LUSV will be designed to control a accumulation of crusade operations exclusively or in and with manned aspect combatants.
“The LUSV will be able of semi-autonomous or entirely unconstrained operation, with operators in-the-loop (controlling remotely) or on-the-loop (enabled by autonomy).”
The US Navy hopes to build dual ships a year, costing £330million per pair, over 5 years, according to US Naval Institute News.
Each boat would be about 200 to 300ft in length with a banishment of about 2,000 tonnes.
The ships are described as radically “a light frigate” and will also have some singular accommodation for a tellurian crew, if necessary.
