Winter Games 2018: Shaun White wins bullion in men’s halfpipe

Shaun White displayed an epic final run to explain his third bullion award in Olympic men’s halfpipe and posted a measure of 97.75 for the 100th altogether bullion by the United States in the Winter Games. He edged out Japan’s Ayumu Hirano whose 95.25 measure was the one to beat. He took home silver.

White is the first American male to win bullion at 3 apart Winter Olympics.

Meanwhile, American alpine skiing star Mikaela Shiffrin was looking for her first bullion award in the women’s slalom. She won 4 years ago in Sochi. However, winds caused a check in that foe which you can watch in primetime Thursday.

Chinese span skaters Sui Wenjing and Han Cong were in the lead after the brief program, heading Russian skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov by reduction than a point. Sui and Han scored a season-best 82.39 points, while Tarasova and Morozov scored 81.68 points. 

Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford of Canada were in third place with 76.82 points

10:03 p.m.: Sean White earns bullion award with thespian final run; 100th bullion award for Team USA of all time

White, age 31, scored a 97.75 in his third run in the men’s snowboarding halfpipe competition. His final run enclosed back-to-back 1440s and back-to-back 1260s.

This will be his third bullion award and Team USA’s 100th bullion award of all time in the Winter Olympics.

Japan’s Ayumu Hirano scored 95.25 in his second run in the halfpipe, circumference out White.

White scores a 94.25 for his first run during the men’s snowboarding halfpipe.
