BRITISH Airways have astounded a military couple with a outing of a lifetime – and it resulted with them getting intent in the many romantic way possible.
Lieutenant Lee Colthart wrote to BA to ask them help him lift of the offer of a lifetime to partner Lydia Ayto.
Because of their jobs, the couple mostly don’t get to see any other for up to 6 months at a time.
Lee had designed to introduce to Lydia last year, but they were both deployed, definition that he had to put his plans on hold.
He had formerly served in the Caribbean, assisting to reconstruct in the area after the extinction of last year’s hurricanes.
BA bosses wanted to give back to the couple, who have been portion the UK for years.
In the video, Lee phones Lydia from a hotel room by Gatwick Airport, admissing that he’s not at work and that he has a big warn for her.
The pair, who met in 2010 when they were at Dartmouth doing initial officer training for the Royal Navy are then flown off first category to the Caribbean.
The couple are seen having a shining time on the islands of Grenada and St Lucia – before Lee pulls off his outrageous surprise.
He enlists a BA moody attendant to put up a dwindle on a vessel – that has a marriage offer for Lydia on it.
Of course, she says yes.
Afterwards, she said: “He’s my best friend, as trite as it sounds, and my partner in crime.
“I wouldn’t reinstate him for anyone else.”
