Four of the suspects — including a 17-year-old girl — are students at Brentwood High School.
“Those 5 people were attempting — intending — to kidnap that child and kill him,” Suffolk Police Commissioner Timothy Sini told reporters.
“We do trust they were looking to rouse their standing in the MS-13 squad by carrying out that murder.”
Officers flooded the area on Tuesday after police perceived complaints that a organisation of bat-wielding Hispanic men roving in a outpost were targeting immature boys.
Plainclothes detectives happened to be on the stage when they speckled a organisation of men who matched the outline of the suspects trying to require a immature man into the van, authorities said.
The investigators pulled out their guns and changed in on the suspects.
