Yankees, Astros playoff story is just a one-game affair

Yankees and Astros have met just once before in the postseason — the Bombers’ routine 3-0 detriment in the 2015 AL wild-card diversion at the Stadium.

Dallas Keuchel, Houston’s Game 1 starter for Friday, hurled 6 scoreless innings to lead the Astros, who then lost the ALDS in 5 games to the Royals.

Seven stream Yankees played in that game.

Masahiro Tanaka started and allowed two solo home runs in 5 innings. Dellin Betances allowed the third run in 1.2 innings of relief. Brett Gardner went 0-for-4 batting leadoff. Jacoby Ellsbury went 0-for-1 as a pinch-hitter. Greg Bird went 1-for-3, Chase Headley went 0-for-2 and Didi Gregorius, batting ninth, went 1-for-3.
