“Twin Peaks” and “Mod Squad” star Peggy Lipton died Saturday from cancer, her daughters Rashida and Kadida Jones announced. Lipton had been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004.
Lipton won a Golden Globe and was Emmy-nominated 4 times for her purpose as flower child Julie Barnes in “The Mod Squad,” in that she starred from 1968 to 1973.
Lipton’s “Twin Peaks” co-stars Kyle MacLachlan and Madchen Amick were among those who paid reverence to Lipton’s death.
“I mislaid a sister today,” wrote Amick. “She was a loyal angel on earth…You couldn’t fit anymore adore into that beautiful essence of hers and she common her heart easily with everybody around her.”
“I had a event to work with Peggy for a few days on a film,” Griffin wrote. “I positively fell in adore with her. I’ve overtly always suspicion of Peggy as…perfect.”
Helen Hunt wrote simply, “She’s a one we always wanted to be.”
“21 Jump Street” star Holly Robinon Peete called her genocide a “simply distressing loss” and common that her “Jump Street” impression was desirous by Lipton’s purpose on “Mod Squad.”
Rosanna Arquette wrote that Lipton, who she had famous for many years, “was an artistic tellurian being on all levels.”
