SPEAKER John Bercow was indicted of disrespecting a Queen after he SNUBBED her invitation to attend a State Banquet with Donald Trump.
The US President will make his long-awaited state revisit to Britain from Jun 3-5 – timed to coincide with a 75th anniversary of D-Day.
Buckingham Palace sent out invitations for a common intemperate cooking put on for heads of state when they make an central visit.
But a orator for Mr Bercow told The Sun: “Mr Speaker has been invited to a Banquet, though he will not be attending.”
The rarely argumentative impugn sparked snub final night. Critics pronounced it was doubly unpleasant – of both a Queen and a American people, while also putting family with a White House during risk.
Tory MP James Duddridge fumed: “Donald Trump is President of a United States of America. He was democratically inaugurated by a people of a United States and should be treated with respect, quite by somebody who is ostensible to be independent.
“He’s perplexing to take over a House of Commons and with identical outcome he’s now carrying a go during Buckingham Palace. It’s an snub to Her Majesty.”
Mr Bercow is also approaching to bar Mr Trump from rigourously addressing Parliament during his Jun revisit – an eventuality customarily accorded to visiting heads of state.
In a diatribe opposite Mr Trump in a Commons cover dual years ago Mr Bercow insisted it was “not an involuntary right” for a visiting personality to residence Parlaiment – observant it was an warranted honour.
Lib Dem trainer Sir Vince Cable has also incited down a Queen’s invitation to attend a State Banquet – since he doesn’t wish to be “hobnobbing with a male who is on record as a misogynist and a racist”.
In a minute to Buckingham Palace, Sir Vince wrote: “I have taken a perspective that as a celebration personality we should not support state visits where a supervision of a day has released invitations inappropriately.
“I did not accept an invitation to attend a State Banquet with a King of Saudi Arabia for that reason. we wish and trust Her Majesty The Queen will know that we decrease this invitation out of no disregard to her. we am of march hugely celebrated to have been invited.”
Mocking Sir Vince and Mr Bercow over their stunts, Mr Duddridge joked: “I’m certain Donald trump will be devastated. He might even go distant as cancelling a visit.”
